Founded in 2002 in Salzburg, Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) is a privately operated medical university offering a unique combination of disciplines in human medicine, nursing science, and pharmacy across Europe. PMU is known for its strong research performance and multi-professional education and training at the highest level of expertise. In partnership with Nuremberg Hospital, PMU established a second campus in Nuremberg in 2014, focusing on human medicine. The goal of PMU is to educate and train outstanding physicians, nursing scientists, and pharmacists who excel in practical competence and social responsibility and are capable of making significant contributions to research and teaching. PMU is the alma mater for over 1,800 students and more than 5,200 graduates.
