Once you have successfully completed the initial registration step, you will be invited to take the written test. This is a comprehensive test that includes tasks in logic, personality assessment, and scientific knowledge at high school level (Matura/Abitur). Additionally, you are expected to have high school-level English proficiency (Matura/Abitur) and C1-level German proficiency for this test.
After completing the written test, the top 405 candidates (240 in Salzburg, 165 in Nuremberg) will be invited for an interview. The ranking is based on both the test results and your average high school grades (if you have not yet received your final grades, the average of your last two school years will be used). The overall score is composed of 20% from school grades and 80% from the test result.
If you completed your schooling outside of Austria, please convert your grades to the Austrian grading system using tables or formulas.
