Klinikum Nuremberg

More than 250 lecturers are on the teaching staff at the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) in Nuremberg. The Klinikum Nürnberg has over 42 specialized- and university clinics at PMU, making it the university's main partner for teaching and research, with a focus on the clinical field.

Klinikum Nuremberg is one of the largest municipal hospitals in Germany and Europe, offering the full range of maximum care services. With over 2,233 beds at two locations in the north and south of the city and 8,400 employees, it provides care for nearly 335,000 in- and outpatients annually. The hospital network includes two additional hospitals in the Nuremberg region.

 

A tradition of education

Furthermore, there is a close collaboration with TH OHM, specifically on the  Midwifery Sciences program, which is also part of Klinikum Nuremberg's educational sector.

Medical students are required to complete a nursing internship and a clinical placement (Famulatur), both of which can be undertaken in direct cooperation with the Klinikum Nuremberg.
