PMU Ethics Committee
The Salzburg University Conference decided that each university in Salzburg should establish its own voluntary institutional ethics committee to address matters that fall outside the legal jurisdiction of the Salzburg State Ethics Committee.
In close collaboration between the University Hospital Salzburg and the Paracelsus Medical Private University (PMU), an institutional ethics committee was established and implemented according to PMU’s statutes, effective from January 14, 2022.
The goal is to offer accessible support to researchers at PMU and University Hospital Salzburg, as well as PMU students, supplementing the work of the primary state ethics committee.
As such, PMU complies with the recommendations outlined in the Guide for Integrity and Ethics.
