Department of Clinical Pharmacology
The Department of Clinical Pharmacology was newly established in July 2023 with the appointment of a Professorship for Pharmacology at PMU Nuremberg. In addition to teaching and research, the department offers a specialist medical consultation service for clinical pharmacological issues, which is available to all medical colleagues at Klinikum Nürnberg.
Clinical Pharmacology Consultations
Physicians from all specialties can contact the department with specific questions regarding adverse drug reactions, drug interactions, or pharmacogenetic issues at any time. In general, a written response is provided within 2-3 working days. Please send your request via email to simon.jaeger@klinikum-nuernberg.de.
For urgent cases, a telephone consultation can also be arranged. In the future, pharmacological consultations will be available via the hospital information system, but the technical solution for this is not yet implemented.
