The Master's program constitutes the second part of the Human Medicine degree at Paracelsus Medical University (PMU). While the six semesters of the Bachelor's program focus on fundamental medical and scientific training, the four semesters of the Master's program center on clinical competence.

Start: August 2026

The Master’s program builds upon the Bachelor’s degree in Human Medicine. Admission to the Master’s program in Human Medicine at PMU requires the successful completion of the USMLE Step 1, which must be taken externally.

The Master's program also features small group learning, individualized supervision, and a strong practical focus.

The Master’s program in Human Medicine concludes with the title of Dr. med. univ.

Following a comprehensive reform of the Human Medicine curriculum at PMU, the transition from a diploma program to a Bachelor’s/Master’s program, compliant with the Bologna Process, was implemented in the academic year 2023/2024. As a result, the first year of the Master’s program will begin in the academic year 2026/2027.
