Technology transfer
We are happy to inform, advise, and support you on all matters related to collaboration between science and industry. Our services offer a wide range of support for researchers and inventors at the PMU.
The Technology Transfer (TT) team at the PMU is your go-to resource for all questions and processes related to intellectual property. We handle service inventions at PMU and guide inventors through this process. Additionally, we manage PMU's existing IP portfolio and are available to provide information on spin-offs.
To engage with external ("independent") inventors, PMU established a 100% subsidiary, PMU Innovations GmbH (PMUI).
The services offered by Technology Transfer aim to provide both internal and external inventors with a platform to discuss ideas, create solutions, and test them.
Common questions that lead to using our services include:
- Can my idea become a marketable product, service, or solution?
- Is its implementation technologically feasible and economically viable?
- Do I need a prototype?
- Do I need support in developing and/or commercializing my idea?
- What are the available options for realizing my idea?
- Who should I contact regarding my invention?
